One Glass Was Optimistic!

"A seriously impressive release from Petaluma. Classic
Clare Valley character right out of the gate. Lime zest, green apple, and that
distinctive slatey minerality, but it’s the balance that really stands out here.

There’s a bright, almost electric acidity that gives the wine real drive,
but it’s nicely cushioned by a subtle hint of fruit sweetness, so it never
feels austere. As it opens up, you start to get more layers, think citrus
blossom, a touch of jasmine, and that faint petrol note just beginning to emerge.

What I loved most is how precise and clean it feels. It’s refreshing without
being simple, and structured enough that you get the sense it’ll age
beautifully over the next 5–10 years (if you can keep your hands off it). Had
this with fresh oysters and it absolutely sang, but it’d be just as good with
spicy Thai or even on its own on a warm afternoon.A benchmark young Riesling,
vibrant, focused, anddangerously easy to go back for another glass."
