Established in 1893, Leasingham has been an integral part of the Clare Valley for over 100 years. We select only our most outstanding wines for release under the premium Classic Clare label.
A great example of fine Clare Valley Riesling, this wine exhibits vibrant lemon lime aromatics and flavours complemented with flint-like minerality, and subtle cues of citrus blossom and spice.
Bouquet- Aromas of intense lifted lime juice, lemon zest, citrus blossom and subtle spice tones.
Palate- A concentrated palate of Lemon, Lime and Pomelo juice and pith, complemented with soft minerality and acid line.
Drink now or add complexity with age with potential cellaring for up to 12 years.
94 Halliday Points- A striking Riesling, as much for its 'classic' Clare DNA of tangy acidity doused in lime cordial, as for its herbal complexity. Orange blossom, honeysuckle and sherbet are nicely offset by an undercarriage of wild fennel, reminiscent of the Mediterranean in the best sense. Long. A strong pulse bodes well for the future. - Ned Goodwin MW 2021
