Barossa Shiraz at its finest, showcasing the distinctive single vineyard characteristics of fruit selected from the 99 year old Koch family vineyard located in the Rowland Flat sub region of the Barossa Valley. Bright and vibrant with dark red fruits and a plush opulence this is a wine approachable in it’s youth and the depth of flavour to age gracefully.
Aromas of ripe, rich, powerful and pure dark red berries, floral, sweet, perfumed spices, elegant and pure.
Elegant fine tannins are chalky and seamless, bright raspberry, cherry, pomegranate fruit is opulent and fine, leaving an impression of sophistication and restraint. Lovely and long.
Pairs well with - Slow Roasted BBQ pork with black pepper and cumin.

95 Points– Dave Brookes – Halliday Companion 2025 – “Sourced from a 1921-planted single vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek in Rowland Flat. Deep crimson with aromas of rich blackberry and blood plum conserve with hints of fruitcake spice, graphite, Old Gold chocolate, tobacco, panforte, violets, cedar and coal dust. Smooth and graceful with impressive depth and flow, fine river silt tannins and plenty of latent power as it fades.”
95 Points – Andrew Graham – www.ozwinereview.com 2023 – “Polished. You can see the alluvial on the rather pretty nose. This has lovely bright purple fruit, an aromatic-led Shiraz with this blueberry fresh palate and very fine tannins. I love this – an excellent, polished, yet powerful modern Barossan Shiraz of such plushness and form.”
