Full bodied and plush, the palate offers rich plum and sweet berry fruit flavours, with an underlying brooding darkness Such intense fruit is complimented by assertive and structural tannins that frame this embodiment of great Australian Shiraz, from one of its standout regions, a signature Lawson’s.

Perfectly balanced, with careful cellaring this wine will continue to develop for another 15-20 years. For optimal presentation and drinking, decanting before serving is recommended.

Pairs well with slow cooked lamb shoulder or grilled steak.

This wine has the familiarity of a mint slice biscuit, but with the added amusement of not remembering they tasted THAT good. Coffee grinds, vanilla pod and licorice root. Acidity leads the palate with fine-grained tannins and a dry finish. Medium weighted, the sweetness of oak is now enveloped into the wine and its fruit and spice shines through. Red brick and cinnamon on the finish. Joyous drinking."
