The 2012 St Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is a deeply coloured, intensely aromatic wine from South Australia's renowned Coonawarra region.
The nose is complex and intense, with cedar, blackberry and plum aromas with integrated oak and spice notes.
The palate is classic Coonawarra Cabernet, with richly concentrated flavours of dark fruit, cedar and blackberry enhanced by notes of spice and plum. The stylish and sympathetic oak is supported by long, silky, fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity.
A perfect accompaniment to Wagyu beef, rare steak or lamb shanks

96 Points - Bob Campbell MW – The Real Review 2017 "Ripe, silky cabernet sauvignon with cassis, blackcurrant, liquorice, leather and baked earth flavours. The wine has a firm backbone of sweet tannins and will clearly develop well with further bottle age, but it is also surprisingly accessible now. Elegance on a grand scale."
