Deep crimson with soft brick hues. A bright and lifted bouquet with lovely floral notes, combined with hints of white pepper. Complexity develops further in the glass with dense blackberry and dried herbs. A very elegant and balanced wine. Delightful palate weight, more medium than full bodied, with layers of dark fruits and dark chocolate, with lovely herbal notes of dried bay leaf and a flinty mid palate. The tannins are firm, silky and polished with a long and even finish.

The nose has aromas of coal smoke, violet, wet stones, blueberries, pepper and dry woody spices. Licorice and sarsaparilla. The palate has striking intensity and depth with a very intense yet fresh feel to the palate. Sleek, long, glossy and melted tannins. Delicious. Focused. Beautifully refreshing acidity. A distinctive and impressive new release from St Hallett. Drink or hold.”
