Colour:  Deep Red with Dark Purple Hue.

Bouquet:  Wine shows ripe dark cherry and blueberry, oak spices, milk chocolate and toasted vanilla with captivating dried rose petals sitting in the background.

Palate:  Wine delivers a densely fruited mouthfeel. Lots of dark fruits such as black boysenberry, cherry and blueberry give the wine a beautiful sense of fruit sweetness. Some vanillin oak, mocha and dark chocolate add to the complex palate. Classic black pepper, some rose petal and black olive show up as well. Dense and firm tannins cover the back palate and pave the ground for a long savory finish.

Cellaring potential 5-10 years

94 Halliday Points "I remember going to the Rolf Binder cellar door for the first time and asking to taste the Bulls Blood. Mrs Binder looked at me through squinty eyes and said, "Are you going to buy anything?" I loved that. I ended up doing vintage there in 2005, and Mrs Binder made the best Hungarian goulash for the cellar hands, but she had attitude – just like the wine. Deeply coloured and packed with black cherry, blueberry and macerated plum fruits. Oodles of spice, dark chocolate, vanillin oak, nutmeg, olive tapenade and earth.
