On the nose, it’s fragrant and expressive, unfolding layers of rose petals and ripe plum, complemented by a sprinkle of cinnamon and a fresh lift from subtle strawberry and a whisper of white pepper.

The palate mirrors this complexity with juicy notes of mulberries, plum, and black cherry, weaving through a core of sweetness that adds plushness to the mid-palate. However, it deftly transitions to a savoury, finely textured finish, grounded by a faint hint of gravel and very fine tannins, offering both structure and elegance. The lingering cinnamon spice ties it all together, making for a wine that’s as seductive as it is balanced.

95 Points – Ray Jordan – Wine Pilot 2026 “This is such an exquisite example of Barossa grenache from an outstanding year. The vineyards are nearly 100 years old in some cases, and the blocks were fermented separately to capture the individual characters of those old vines. About 25% went through carbonic maceration with the whole bunch influence adding structure and complexity. So it's got that lovely, elegant, lively lift, but with substance and structure in the palate. A seamless mix of red fruits with raspberry and cherry notes and a lovely perfumed lift. Just a trace of earthy nuances add that final flick of palate complexity. An excellent wine.”
