Barossa Shiraz at its finest, showcasing the distinctive single vineyard characteristics of fruit selected from the 99 year old Koch family vineyard located in the Rowland Flat sub region of the Barossa Valley. Bright and vibrant with dark red fruits and a plush opulence this is a wine approachable in it’s youth and the depth of flavour to age gracefully.

Floral, open pastille, nose of ripe raspberry, red liquorice and complexing whole bunch spice. Elegant fine tannins with plush open bright raspberry, cherry fruit flavours and spice. The tannins are chalky and seamless, leaving an impression of sophistication and restraint with a gravelly finish.

Ideal Drinking Window - 2023 - 2035

96 Points – Dave Brookes – Halliday Wine Companion 2024 – “Sourced from a 1921-planted single vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek in Rowland Flat. Deep crimson with aromas of intense blackberry and blood plum fruits with hints of coal dust, baking spices, 'Old Jamaican' chocolate, panforte, turned earth, cedar and kirsch. Velvety smooth, long and true with gorgeous fine tannins and impressive concentration, all the while, detailed and perfectly balanced.
