94 Points- Marcus Ellis Halliday Wine Companion 2024 - "Hand picked, destemmed and fermented in open vats; 15 months in French barriques. Although from a cool year, there’s considerable drive to this but also a bit more polish and poise than the year prior. There’s a similar play of dark berries, cherries, plum, anise, tapenade and bitter chocolate across an expansive and rich palate, but there’s a levity of peppery spicing and floral notes. Oak is sitting proud at present, but this is made for the longer haul, so no harm there. It’s a proudly fulsome Vale shiraz that delivers on that level."
