Barossa Shiraz at its finest, showcasing the distinctive sub-regional characteristics of fruit selected from the northwestern corner of the Barossa Valley. Dark and structural with underlying minerality, this is a wine with a long life ahead of it.

Earthy, smoky, gravelly nose, with hints of cured meats and gunflint, intriguing and complex. Robust and very dark on the palate, plush and powerful, mouthcoating density of fruit, that is ripe and textural. A substantial wine with longevity and presence.

95 Points- Andrew Caillard MW - The Vintage Journal 2022 "Deep crimson. Lovely dark cherry, dark plum, blackberry pastille with inky, graphite notes. Lovely dark cherry, saturated blackberry, praline flavours, fine brambly/ cedary textures, and vanilla roasted chestnut notes. Finishes claret-firm and bittersweet. Elemental and vigorous with attractive density and richness of flavour. Should develop very well. 40% new oak (half in puncheons). Now–2030"

95 Points - Ray Jordan - West Australian 2022 "The aim is to make a wine that reflects the dirt from which it is grown. It is a remarkably smooth and seamless wine with excellent graphite tannin structure. The wine tends to show its tannins at the moment, but they are not excessive. It would definitely benefit from further ageing to really bring it together. There’s a sweet fruit character in there as well. Graphite and ironstone limestone characters seem to work through the palate. It has a nice density to it as well. The 40 per cent new French oak is perfectly weighted. 95/100"

94-Points - Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion 2022 "Aged for 17 months in French oak (40% new). Deep red purple in the glass. Awash with ripe red and dark plum fruits, blueberry and boysenberry, with notes of purple flowers, spice, chocolate and softly spoken oak. There's a lovely fruit flow and medium-weighted purity to the palate with tight, savoury tannins and an elegant line to the prolonged finish."

94 Points - Tyson Stelzer - Barossa Magazine 2023 "There's a wonderful blueberry and blackberry mood from the outset, well tensioned by a confident tannin framework that promises a long future. The gloriously glossy, deep, black mood of Greenock is intricately and carefully framed by new French oak (40%) and a touch of whole bunch inclusion."
