Grant Burge Icon wines are named in honour of Meshach Burge, the great grandfather of founder Grant Burge who began an enduring family winemaking tradition, and the biblical origins of his name. Shadrach, one of Meshach’s fellow pilgrims in the bible, represents the best Cabernet Sauvignon from Grant Burge Wines.

Red in colour with great depth, the nose displays blackcurrant and blackberries, mint with hints of vanilla and dried autumn leaf.

A full-bodied wine with cigar box flavours and powerful red berry fruit characters, with typical Eden Valley leafy notes. The rich mid-palate Is followed by firm tannins and exceptional length.

94 Points - Huon Hooke; The Real Review - "Deep, rich red with a fleck of purple, excellent colour for its age. The bouquet is tremendously rich in fruitcake, Christmas pudding/panforte kinds of aromas, chocolate too, and dried figs. A hint of mint emerged later. A lot of oak has been employed, but it’s not overly oaky as such. A big, solid, full-bodied wine of concentration and density, with a long, resonant finish." Nov 2019
