In 1920, the Filsell Vineyard was planted and for the last 100 years produced some of Australia’s premier and iconic Barossa Shiraz’s. With only 6,000 bottles available, this once in a lifetime wine, has been produced to celebrate the centenary of these vines.

A fantastic showcase of the Filsell single vineyard made from 100-year-old vines and producing a magnificently structured and textural wine that will age for many years to come. A special release to mark the 100th Anniversary of these 100-year-old vines.

COLOUR - Deep dark magenta, black hues. The wine shows full density of colour.

NOSE - Kirch with hazelnut that lift instantly from the glass and are highly perfumed. Strong aromas of hazel nut with nutmeg contribute with cherry ripe and boysenberry .

PALATE -Plush cherry chocolate fruit initially pounce from glass onto palate with firm and directional tannins that persist and drive long. There is a savoury element of damsum plum and spice that help lift the highly complex fruit matrix. The firm structure helps highlight the dark, dense and directional tannins that finish with chocolate and espresso. The flavours meld and continue long after tasting providing a memorable tasting experience. The wine is dense and un-ashamedly powerful but highly expressive of vineyard, region, vintage and variety.
