The Eden Valley area of the Barossa is renowned for producing some of Australia’s finest Riesling, as the cooler climate and higher rainfall provide ideal conditions for this variety.

The Thorn Riesling offers classic intense citrus and floral aromatics with hints of slate on the nose. Rich fresh limes and citrus are all prominent on the palate, driven by a racy natural acidity and linear minerality giving a long, lingering finish. This wine drinks exceptionally well young, but will also reward 10-12 years of careful cellaring.

The acidity in this wine would be ideal to temper the richness of creamy French or Germanic dishes, but would also pair beautifully with fresh sushi, stir-fry or creamy curries.
