A supple and beguiling single vineyard wine reflecting all that is great about Shiraz inform the ancient Barossa soils of the Ebenezer region.
The nose offers mocha, liquorice and raspberry in perfect balance. Intense and fleshy with a combination of dark berry fruits and a brightness of flavour. Ebenezer is renowned for the balance it maintains whilst also producing full flavoured and structured wines. The oak maturation supports the wine with spice and sweet tannin and has also allowed it to soften and open up.
Pairs well with Eye-fillet of beef wrapped in prosciutto with a porcini farce, served with well-roasted bone marrow.

94 Points - Rob Geddes MW 2021 "From a single vineyard in Ebenezer and released in tiny amounts. Mainly sold in high-end retail, online, restaurants and at the St Hugo cellar door. Dense, dark brooding from the warm and very muscular 2013 vintage hence it’s at the top end of richness for the St Hugo style red with dark plum, star anise and cloves with generous umami savoury rich regional aromas. The palate is framed by the vintage with rich soft tannins upfront, showing some maturity in the plum and clove sweet fruits in the middle with layers of chocolate and cocoa in the firm finish thanks to the vintage. Big for St Hugo, in that its full-bodied, contrasting their typical elegant medium style but very well balanced and it expresses the vintage."
