Rolf Binder's flagship wine and one of the long-standing great Shiraz wines of the Barossa Valley. The wine is made from 100% Shiraz grown in the winery block ‘Chri-Ro vineyard’ and is named after the original owner of the vineyard, ‘Punch’ Hanisch. This special vineyard was purchased by the Binder family in 1968, then planted to vines in 1972. By the mid 1980s, an 8-row section was recognised for intensely expressive Shiraz of intense aromas, deep colour and flavour. The first Shiraz from this vineyard was bottled in 1988 as the ‘Long Rows’ Shiraz. Only 200 cases made in any given vintage.
